Albino Penis Envy “APE” is easily recognizable by its bulbous stature, its depigmented flesh and its overall phallic appearance. It is a milky white and smaller version of the infamous Penis Envy mixed with Albino PF strains.

Visual Description

• Cap: 20 + mm broad. Bulbous when young, soon a condensed convex, rarely plane in age. Caps don’t develop normally and suffer diminished spore production. Color is pale grey to whitish to bluish grey often with bluish tones bruising bluish green. Margin is paler, umbo is darker and may present crack-like texture or spots. • Gills: attachment adnate to adnexed, close, crowded. • Stem: 60-100 mm long. Contorted, often bulbous, meaty, sturdy, consistently thicker at the base and thinner near cap joint. Color is pure white with bluish hues, often remaining in drying. Flesh bruising bluish. Surface is smooth, dry and may be striated on the upper area. No persistent annulus but a distinguishable annular zone. • Spore print: transparent.
