SOUTH AMERICAN CUBENSIS

“South American Cube”

The South American cubensis, also commonly known as the “laid back cubensis”, is a subtropical Psilocybe growing wildly on the South American continent. This fungi from the Western Hemisphere represents perfectly the relaxed, easy-going, sensual vibe of the land it comes from.  Said to be originally collected in Venezuela by the now defunct Spore Chicks, one wonders why it isn’t called the “Venezuelan cubensis”. One reason could be that the South American cubensis englobes perfectly and entirely, the unique warmth and magic of the Latin territory. For those voluptuary cumbia step, those lazy bosa nova moves or for relaxing at home and preparing for a deep sleep, the South American cubensis is a versatile, casual strain.

Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, the twelve states contained within South America each offer optimal habitats for magic mushrooms to thrive in: from subtropical cloud forests to coastal valleys, from the Amazon forest to the Andes, the Western Hemisphere is the driest (Atacama desert) and wettest place on Earth (the Amazon rainforest). Moreover, in the southern part of North America is where resides the paradise of psilocybian Psilocybes: Mexico.
With a topography that offers a great range in elevation, the “New World” continent has an unrivaled diversity of climates and ecological zones.

Clearly, naming this magic mushroom “South American cubensis ”echoes its universal nature. After all, the South American cubensis is before all a Psilocybe cubensis, and Psilocybe cubensis aren’t called the “god of mushrooms” for nothing: they spread worldwide with an enviable resistance to all types of conditions, and they can grow into ridiculously big sizes.
Cultivators describe the South American cubensis as one of the fastest growing cubensis out there; with a fast-paced rhizomorphic mycelium eager to spread, this sturdy giant, is a prolific fruiter that drops spores heavily, and flourishes into compacted clusters.
If it comes from the same continent as the famous Amazon Strain, it is said to be much milder, with less intense visual hallucinations and an overall much more containable experience. Consumers describe a balanced experience, with proportioned effect on the body, the eyes, and the soul (like a South American Golden Teacher).
For microdosing, we suspect this strain to be a body-effective one and help relieve with ailments such as stress, anxiety, menstrual cramps, migraines, and insomnia.
