Genus

In biology, a genus is a principal taxonomic category. Taxonomy is the practice of categorizing and classifying things or concepts based on a variety of sets.
Genera are always written with a capitalized Latin name and ranks above species and below family. For example, the major genus of psilocybin-producing mushroom is Psilocybe, with over 200 believed psychoactive mushrooms in this category.
Two of the most famous psychoactive strains are Psilocybe cubensis aka Cubes or Golden Tops and Psilocybe Azurescens aka Azzies or Flying Saucers (believed to be the strongest).

The psilocybin genera we will start with are Conocybe-Pholiotina, Inocybe, Panaeolus-Copelandia and Psilocybe.Hybrids will refer to the category of magic mushrooms believed to have been developed in-vitro. Other genera contain psychoactive mushrooms such as Gymnopilus and Pluteus.
